Rest

I had big plans for this first weekend of 2022. I’ve got big goals.

But I was exhausted.

The first week back to school took a lot out of me. Getting back into routines with Q, and adding in new schedules too.

And then there’s my anxiety. There’s more unknown with the recent surge of cases and the reality that there’s a good chance that even though I’m boostered, it will find me.

So this weekend was about laughter with good friends, sleeping in, reading, cleaning, and resting. We all have big goals and plans- but we don’t have to do it all right away. You have not failed.

Rest is important. It’s vital for creativity and productivity. And for me- it’s also critical for my mental health and burnout prevention. So if your weekend was about rest- you were not alone. And we’ve got big things ahead. ♥️
